Veteran Pakistan Television Actor Qavi Khan Passed Away
The bad news is that the renowned and multi-talented actor Qavi Khan has recently passed away in Canada due to a heart attack.
Qavi Khan was a highly acclaimed and versatile veteran actor in Pakistan. With a career spanning several decades, he has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of the Pakistani entertainment industry. He initially started his career in showbiz as a radio worker and eventually made his debut on television as a child actor in a radio drama.
Born in 1942 in Peshawar, Pakistan, Qavi Khan recently turned 80 years old in 2023. One of his most successful black-and-white period dramas was the popular PTV drama serial “Lakhon Mian Teen” and “Andhera Ajala”. He remained an active participant in the Pakistani TV industry until 2022, showcasing his talent in popular dramas such as “Meri Shehzadi”, “Pehchaan”, and “Ishq Jalebi”.
It’s worth noting that Qavi Khan received several prestigious awards for his outstanding contributions to the Pakistani entertainment industry, including the Pride of Performance Award, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, and Nigar Awards. Interestingly, he has acted in over 200 Pakistani films and has been actively involved in acting since 1960.
The President of the Arts Council has recently announced that the highly-regarded Pakistani actor Qavi Khan has passed away in Canada following a heart attack. As soon as the news spread on social media, his loved ones were overcome with sadness. Upon hearing of his passing, many individuals took to prayer, asking Allah to grant him the highest place in Jannah (heaven).
