Shakeel Siddiqui Says We Have No Stars To Make Kapil Sharma Show
Many comedians in Pakistan have gone and worked in India performing in several shows and films. We also had Naseem Vicky working in The Kapil Sharma Show. That show went on to become a phenomenon and Kapil Sharma became a successful show host after doing stand up comedy for many years. His show is used by all the Bollywood A-listers to promote their films. From veteran artists to stars like Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone have all been on The Kapil Sharma Show for one project or another. Pakistani artists Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momal Sheikh have also been a part of the show.
Though Pakistanis have a superior talent in comedy, we do not have a big show like The Kapil Sharma Show to showcase it and Shakeel Siddiqui, a veteran artist who has worked in Bollywood for many years also had a few opinions on why we have not made a big show like it.
Talking to Hafiz Ahmed on his podcast he said that we do not have stars like Shahrukh, Salman or Akshay who get involved with the show to make a big hit like that. They perform on the show while our stars specifically mention that they won’t perform if they come for an interview. He also said that they have big teams of writers and budgets which we lack also. Shakeel went on to say that we are working great in our limited budgets and resources available.
