Zulfikar Ali Bhutto mentioned that the ceremony was a small gathering of Fatima’s loved ones, held in their grandfather’s library, a place that holds a special significance for his dear sister. He also briefly explained why they chose not to have a grand celebration.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto also mentioned that, in light of the difficult circumstances faced by their fellow countrymen and women, they felt it would be inappropriate to have a lavish celebration. He then requested the public to keep his sister and Graham (Gibran) in their prayers.
