Mawra completed her degree in Law from the University of London. But her interest in media brought her here. She started her career working as VJ for ARY Musik and then moved to TV serials which include Ahista Ahista, Ik Tamanna La Hasil Si, Nikhar Gaye Gulab Sare, and many more. She has received immense love for her acting. From Pakistani viewers to Indian viewers, everyone loved her work. She has also done a Bollywood movie Sanam Teri Qasam with Harshvardan Rane.
She has also modeled for Pantene Hum Couture Week. The multi-talented actress has also narrated the drama serial Aangan. Mawra has also played the role of Sunheri in Dassi and Anaya in Sabaat. Afterward, in 2019 Mawra in collaboration of her sister Urwa Hocane opened up their clothing line in 2019.
Recently Mawra has posted her Eid clicks but the interesting part is that she did get herself anything this Eid. She reused her old clothes from a shoot from 2015 and her fans are stunned by that. She was seen wearing a CrossStitch dress. She captioned her photo by saying marvelous Eid Day 3, wearing my @crossstitch_official outfit which is more than 8 years old from a shoot in 2015, and my earrings at least 5 years old from @bukhari_accessories.
